International Human Rights Consortium (IHRC/CIDH)
Vision and Mission

Born of the essence of our founder Miss Wilda Spalding’s philosophy, our vision is of a world in which the uniqueness of every individual is honored and celebrated for its capacity to add to the overall quality of human experience; a world that acts to create just and sustainable economic, social and cultural advancement and, as a result, enjoys enduring world peace.

IHRC/CIDH is a consortium of equals united in purpose, consciously inclusive and apolitical. We invite solution-focused people of goodwill to join us in creating positive, systemic change through local action and global influence. Honoring the past, acting in the present, and focusing on the future, we strive to inspire and unite the best in people and organizations.

Each summer, IHRC/CIDH co-hosts the FETE d’EXCELLENCE in the historic and vibrant City of Geneva, Switzerland. The FETE recognizes and honors the best within each person and the best amongst us. Set in the beauty of the Swiss Alps, concurrent with the gathering of over two million people and some of the world’s most influential leaders, each year the IHRC/CIDH, including young people and elders representing different peoples of the world, different backgrounds and walks of life, helps craft and present this exciting witness to the best in humanity.

This year, it is our joy and privilege to again be dedicating the whole of the 2005 FETE d’EXCELLENCE global activities as part of the continuing Centenary Celebrations of the life of the great American peace-maker, the first Nobel Peace Prize laureate of color and a citizen of the USA, Dr. Ralph J. Bunche to continue his legacy as an inspiration to the world’s youth, and as an example of dedication and hope for all the world. IHRC/CIDH is also hosting the 2005 Brain Trust being held in May as guests of the University of California Los Angeles with prticipants from around the world gathering to examine it over-arching title: “The Morhping Information Age: for Better…or Worse?”. Your constructive participation is welcomed in the work of IHRC/CIDH.
